Request a freelance deposit clearly
Separate the deposit, remaining balance and deliverables in your request.

Name the stage being paid for
State in your quote and request what the deposit covers: reserving time, preparation or the first project stage. Enter the amount of this request, not the full project price if only the deposit is being paid. Blaya does not define your contractual obligations for you.
The deposit’s own timeline
A paid deposit is a transaction with its own timeline starting at capture. A €300 service amount has a €9 Blaya fee for the client and a €309 total. The transfer period does not mean the whole project must finish within seven days; agree clearly on deliverables.
Request the balance later
Create another request for the balance when the agreed milestone is reached. A scheduled due date prepares a request and reminder; it does not automatically charge the card. The client must open checkout and confirm payment.
